Mitchell Fishing Reels


The first Mitchell fishing reels were produced in France in 1948. In 2000 Mitchell was purchased by Pure Fishing, whichalso owns Berkley, Abu Garcia and Fenwick.

Mitchell offers several models of freshwater reels. The 300X series reels cost about $50-65. Features include:
1. Five or ten bearing drives
2. Instant anti reverse
3. Durable, lightweight graphite body
4. Spare spool for quick line changes
5. Aluminum handle with right or left hand retrieve

The Outback series has a 5 bearing drive and an aluminum spool. Price is about $20.

The Full Runner Electronic models feature a bait alert system that beeps and flashes when a fish bites. The reels are great for trolling, floating bait and bank fishing. Price is about $55.

The Avocet II Gold has 8 an bearing drive with an instant anti reverse. The oversized line roller reduces line twist. Price is about $35. The Avocet II Silver has 4 bearings and costs about $25.

The Copperhead Trigger has a 4 bearing drive and a self centering trigger system that automatically aligns with your index finger for immediate line pick up. Price is about $30.

The 300Xe Combo features 8 bearings and a graphite rod. Price is about $50.
