Durable Grumman Canoes

All models of Grumman canoes feature .060" aluminum deck caps and .080" stern caps. A special sealant is used to insure long lasting watertightness. Optimum strength is achieved by using formed .062" aluminum thwarts that are secured with stainless steel bolts.

The lightest canoe is the 13' two seat canoe that weighs 50 lbs. Price is about $860.

The 17' canoe comes in 4 models ranging in price from about $970-1123.

The Square Stern canoes are available in 16', 17' and 19' length. In addition there is a 15' sport boat. These canoes are designed primarily for outboard power, but paddles can also be used. Each canoe has a heavy duty transom assembly. Price for the 15' sport boat is about $1925. The 16' square stern canoe costs about $1065, the 17' costs about $1290 and the 19' costs about $1790.

Proper care for Grumman canoes or any other canoe will keep the canoes in good condition for many years:
1. Wash your canoe occasionally with light detergent. Two times a year apply an automotive paste wax.
2. To keep your canoe out of the way and save storage space, hang the canoe on a rack in your garage.
