Match the Fly Fishing Reel
with the Line you will use

The fly fishing reel is locked in the seat under the hand grip. The grip material is usually cork.

The most popular reel is the single action model. For these reels, each turn of the handle equals one rotation of the spool. They are easy to use and are usually very light. Good quality reels, made of common metals and plastic can be low priced. They are good for beginners.

You need to consider what line you will be using and the type of fishing you will be doing. Most models specify the line sizes that can be used.

A multiplier reel has gears that can make several rotations of the spool for each turn of the handle. They are heavier than single action reels and much more expensive.
