Use the right Lures
for successful Bass Fishing

Bass fishing has expanded much in the last years and is now popular worldwide. The largemouth bass is the most popular fish in the United States. There are many bass tournaments every year. The sport has improved the development of fishing equipment and accessories.

The largemouth bass can be totally black or has a horizontal stripe with dark spots along the length of each side. The average fish weighs about 1-2 pounds and is about 10-18 inches long. It looks like the smallmouth bass.

The smallmouth bass prefers rocky, fast streams, while the largemouth likes slower and warmer streams or rivers. During the daytime, it usually can be found in deeper water. The fish will take live bait or plastic worms. Plastic worms are the preferred bass lure.

Fallen trees and bushes provide good cover. If the bass are deep, spinner balls seem to work good. Plastic imitations will also work. Soft plastic imitations should be fished slowly. They work especially during afternoon hours. Bass will also take live bait such as crawfish and night crawlers.

Fishing for bass is presently America's number one freshwater sport. It has become a multi billion dollar industry.
